Star Yellow PVC Cane Webbing

PVC cane webbing in star weave, yellow (cane gold) colour. 60 cm × 7.5 m roll, about 50 sq ft.

Details

Cane webbing (also called rattan cane mesh or cane jaali) is the woven sheet behind today's cane wardrobes, sideboards, room dividers and Viennese-style chairs. It is sold by the roll and fixed into a groove or framed behind a shutter, so one roll can finish several doors.

We stock two kinds. Natural cane is real rattan with a warm, slightly varied colour that ages beautifully. PVC cane copies the look in plastic strands, so it stays one colour, handles moisture better and wipes clean, which suits kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor furniture.

Pick a weave by how open you want it. Star (the classic hexagon weave) is open and airy, square and double square are tighter and more graphic, diamond and flower add pattern, and the closed Natural Mat and Weave styles hide what is behind them completely.

Rattan Cane Webbing: Questions We Get Asked

How much area does one cane webbing roll cover?

A standard 60 cm × 750 cm roll covers about 50 sq ft. The 90 cm wide Star Natural Dark comes as a 480 cm roll and covers about 46 sq ft.

What is the difference between natural cane and PVC cane?

Natural cane is woven from real rattan and has natural colour variation. PVC cane is made from plastic strands that look like cane; it keeps one even colour, resists moisture and is easy to wipe clean.

Where can cane webbing be used?

Wardrobe and kitchen shutters, TV and crockery units, bed headboards, room partitions, ceilings, wall panels, lamp shades, and chair seats and backs.

How is natural cane webbing installed?

Natural cane is usually soaked in water for a short while to make it flexible, then pressed into a routed groove with a spline or fixed behind a frame. It tightens as it dries. Our team can guide your carpenter.

Do you sell cane webbing by the metre?

Cane webbing is supplied by the roll. Tell us your shutter sizes in the enquiry and we will tell you how many rolls you need.
